Is the facility licensed?
Yes! The Armenian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is fully licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services which annually inspects the facility. We are also proud of our five-star rating and will happily assist you in obtaining the most recent surveys.
What are the visiting hours?
Visiting hours are 8 am-8 pm, seven days a week. ANRC warmly welcomes and encourages visitors and sees these visits as key support for our residents in their rehabilitative process.
Can my doctor come here?
Yes, if they fulfill the requirements. All licensed physicians are welcome to become affiliated with the facility by completing our credentialing requirements. Please see the Administrator or Director of Nursing to expedite the process.
Can I bring my medicine from home?
No, the State prohibits this. The New Jersey Department of Health does not allow medications to be brought into the facility. A list of your medications and dosages can be brought in on the day of admission to discuss with our nursing staff.
Do you have nurses on staff every day?
Yes! We have a highly qualified staff of licensed nursing personnel 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. Our Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Certified Nurse’s Aides (CNA) are specifically trained in the long-term care activities of daily living such as feeding, toileting, selecting proper attire, dressing, grooming, maintaining continence, bathing, walking and transferring (such as moving from bed to wheelchair). Without delay, all our caring staff will readily assist you.
What is your staff ratio?
Every 9 residents have the help of:
- A nursing assistant who can provide help with all the activities of daily life.
- The Nurse (RN, LPN) who monitors each resident’s all-purpose medication, charts on each resident’s well-being and keeps the physician informed of any change in the status of his or her resident’s. In addition, there is an RN Charge Nurse who manages the floor and oversees the staff.
What about rehabilitation services?
We have a resident gym and a team of therapists (Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist/Speech Pathologist) to provide rehabilitation services prescribed by your physician
How are we informed about the resident’s progress?
On a regular basis, you will be invited to meet and discuss rehabilitation and the discharge planning process with our team.
Do residents have a choice of meals? What about Kosher/Vegetarian meals?
Yes! Selective menus are available and our Food Services Department will gladly arrange for specific meal requests.
Can we bring in food from outside the facility?
Yes! However, we ask that you make sure it is within your dietitian’s and physician’s recommended plan. If there is a special occasion, ask our staff for a private space and we will accommodate you.
Can a resident request food other than at scheduled meal times?
Yes! You can request food at all times.
What kind of activities do you have?
We offer a wide variety of stimulating programs which include discussions, aerobic exercise, musical events, and outdoor programs led by Certified Recreation Therapists and their staff. The facility has dedicated specific areas of the building to accommodate our residents. The Recreation Center has both a baby grand and an upright piano along with a projection screen for musical and movie enjoyment. Can children and pets visit?
Children and pets are always welcome at ANRC. Please let our Activities Director know beforehand if you would like to bring your pet.
Can a person stay in your facility long-term?
Yes! The facility offers both rehabilitation and long-term care. Private and semi-private rooms are available which can be personalized with your belongings. Please contact the Admissions Director for further information and to arrange for a private tour.
What is the difference between Medicare and Medicaid?
Medicare is a federal program providing full and co-payments with a maximum coverage of 100 days. Medicaid is a state program that will pay for care if the resident has a financial hardship. Both programs have specific, governmental guidelines that must be met in order to continue eligibility.
Does Medicare pay for everything?
Medicare will pay for a semi-private room, medications, and treatments. It will not pay for a private room and various services such as a beauty salon. Please see our Admissions Director to be provided with a complete list of covered and non-covered services.
Do sub-acute residents receive assistance with discharge planning?
Yes! The Social Worker and Rehabilitation team will happily assist you in making arrangements for home care and providing physician-ordered equipment.

Mail is delivered to residents personally on a daily basis except for weekends and holidays. Please address your mail to:
