Dear Residents and Family Members:
I regret to inform you that the decision has been made to close the Armenian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Since 1938, the facility has maintained over 70 years of continuous operation but finds at this time, due in a large part to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is unable to sustain itself based on its occupancy rate.
The facility has been the home for thousands of residents over the years, and we have been happy and proud to care of you. We love you all very much and will do everything in our power to ensure a safe and smooth transition to your new living space.
The facility will stop admitting new residents immediately. Our residents who are at the hospital or out on leave will be readmitted. Our plan is to discharge all our residents over the next 60 days so there will be no more residents at the facility on or about April 4, 2021.
Our staff is ready to meet with you to help make decisions about relocating to a new residence. They will address any questions or concerns you may have about the transition.
We understand this can be a difficult time as many of you and your family have been with us for many years. We will provide a list of nearby facilities to which you may elect to be transferred. The staff will work with each one of you to provide you with useful information so you can make an informed decision. Once you have decided, we will make the transfer of you and your belongings as smooth as we can.
We understand that this news can be life-changing for some of you. We thank you for choosing to stay with us for all the time you have been here and hope you will look back upon that time fondly.
We wish you all the best in the future.
